Virtual Zoom Switch
What is the Virtual Zoom Switch
This is a skill that allows you to control any of your Alexa enabled devices through your Zoom status!
How Does it Work
Once Authorized through your Amazon Alexa App, this skill will add 5 Virtual Motion Sensor Devices to your account with the following names:
Zoom Available
Zoom Away
Zoom Busy
Zoom Calendar Event
Zoom Meeting

Once Added, the Virtual Zoom Switch app from the Zoom Marketplace will route users to a web app that has users link their Amazon and Zoom Emails. After the emails are entered, the Zoom Marketplace app sends a webhook to the backend functions anytime the Zoom user's status changes and a "Motion Detected" event is sent to the mapped device that users can use to trigger a routine in your Alexa App to control your smart devices.
Setup and Use
Step 1) Locate and Authorize Virtual Zoom Switch Skill within the Amazon Alexa App.

Step 2) If the Zoom Virtual Switch app has already been installed in your account's Zoom Marketplace, then each individual user who wants to utilize this tool can move to step 3. If not currently installed, please log into the Zoom App Marketplace, and locate and install the app on your account. This will redirect the installer to the Web App for Step 3.

Step 3) Navigate to the Web App (URL provided if the link does not work: https://prod.d1vjhv8hd1rn70.amplifyapp.com/). Here you will provide your Amazon Email and Zoom Email that you wish to bind and hit submit.

Step 4) Thats it for setup, the rest is down to daily use. To control your devices you can create a routine in your Alexa App setting one of the Virtual Devices as the trigger of a routine then select your desired action.

Example use case this was initially designed for: An Alexa enabled smart light is placed in a hallway outside of a home office, Alexa Routine created named Zoom Meeting with trigger set when Zoom Meeting - Motion Detected then action set, turn smart light On and Red and Announce A Zoom meeting has started on an Amazon Echo placed in a common area. This way kids or external parties know that a Zoom Meeting is in progress and not to enter the office.

Then a secondary routine is created, when Zoom Available - Motion Detected, resulting Action set to change the light color to Green and announce Meeting has ended on common area Alexa letting everyone know that it is okay to enter the office.
Potential Issues and How to Troubleshoot
If routines are set but starting or stopping a meeting is not working, a potential issue is that emails for the two accounts are not matched. Make sure that you have entered your emails on the web app located here: Virtual Zoom Switch Web App the URL for the web app can be located here: (https://us-east-1.console.aws.amazon.com/amplify/home?region=us-east-1#/d1vjhv8hd1rn70) Please note that the emails ARE CASE SENSITIVE.

If the emails have been entered and you are sure that they match what your account shows, please reach out through the contact page.
How to Remove
If you no longer wish to use this skill, navigate to your Alexa App and open the Skills & Games section. From there you can select Your Skills and select Virtual Zoom Switch app and choose disable. In the Zoom Marketplace, choose the "Manage" option at the top of the screen, you can then choose Apps on Account and select the Virtual Zoom Switch option. You can click Manage App and then disable or remove the app from there.
